Certified Shorthand Court Reporters

Local Certified Shorthand Reporters - Transcripts You Can Trust

Certified Shorthand Reporters serve as official representatives of the court during depositions and are entrusted with safeguarding the integrity of the legal record. The Certified Shorthand Reporters who work with Shauna Beach Company are not only highly skilled in capturing verbatim testimony using the steno machine, but they are also trained to manage challenging conditions such as interruptions, overlapping speech, rapid dialogue, strong accents, and ethical situations that arise. Licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas, these professionals—and the firm itself—abide by and are held to the ethical standards set forth in the Supreme Court of Texas Code of Ethics for Certified Shorthand Reporters and Court Reporting Firms and the Texas Uniform Format Manual. Compliance with these rules ensures that every proceeding and resulting transcript is impartial, accurate, and legally compliant.

Realtime Streaming

Realtime reporting is a specialized skill within court reporting where the words written on the stenography machine appear immediately—in real time—on a computer screen. Attorneys rely on real-time feeds during high-stakes depositions—where millions of dollars may be at stake and they have only one opportunity to question a witness—to instantly review testimony, catch inconsistencies, and adjust their strategy on the fly.

When you are relying on real-time and millions of dollars are at stake, do you want a real-time feed that is 80 percent accurate or 99.9 percent accurate?

Our stenographic court reporters provide realtime streaming and instant rough drafts that are compliant with the Texas Uniform Format with a 99.9 percent accuracy as compared to AI-generated realtime streaming and rough drafts which are generally about 80 percent accurate, are not compliant with the Texas Uniform Format and do not contain speaker identification and/or punctuation.
