At the deposition location they provide high quality individual microphones that are monitored live, lighting (where necessary) and professional backdrops to ensure video/audio quality and continuity. Every videographer’s kit includes a hot spot and iPad Pro with a Zoom account for the witness to accommodate last minute unplanned Zoom participants.

Videotaped Picture-in-Picture Depositions

Videographers providing a PIP setup provide monitors for everyone in the room to view the exhibits and a document camera and/or cable connections for an attorney’s laptop or iPad to share exhibits. With PIP, the exhibit is presented on the main screen, while the witness's reaction (facial expressions, body language) is shown in a smaller inset window. This approach allows viewers (like a jury) to see the witness's interaction with the exhibit in real time, which can be crucial for assessing their credibility and understanding their testimony.

Zoom Technicians

Shauna Beach Company’s Zoom meeting rooms include a human Zoom Technician to troubleshoot any problems with connection with any of the participants. They also monitor the waiting room and admit only the participants invited to the Zoom meeting to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the deposition proceeding. The Zoom Technician can alert participants that another participant has been disconnected and stop the proceeding until all participants are back online. Providing this Zoom Technician simulates the tone and seriousness of a deposition taken in person where only participants to the deposition are admitted into a conference room.
